Squich HNM (High Number of Mating) Inserts

What is cemented carbide

Cemented carbide is a kind of alloy which is mainly composed of one or several refractory carbide powders, added with metal powders as adhesives, and fired by powder metallurgy. It is mainly used to manufacture high-speed cutting tools and cutting tools for hard and tough materials, as well as cold working dies, CNC Carbide Inserts measuring tools and high wear resistant parts that are not subject to impact and vibration.

Characteristics of cemented carbide

1. It has high hardness, wear resistance and red hardness, and can cut hard materials with hardness up to 50HRC.

2. The compressive strength of cemented carbide with high strength Carbide Turning Inserts and elastic modulus is up to 6000MPa.

3. It has good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and is generally resistant to atmospheric, acid, alkali and other corrosion, and is not easy to oxidize.

4. The linear expansion coefficient is small, and the shape and size are stable.

5. Formed products will no longer be processed or reground. Due to the high hardness and brittleness of cemented carbide, it will not be cut or reground after powder metallurgy forming and sintering.
